A RUNdown industrial site could be transformed into 14 flats if new plans get the go-ahead.
Maynewater Developments Ltd has made the application to St Edmundsbury Borough Council for the old Enterprise rent-a-car site on Maynewater Lane, Bury St Edmunds. It would see the old buildings demolished and new flats constructed.
The plans are for 14 ‘high-quality’ two-bedroom flats, four of which would be designated as affordable housing.
If accepted, the plan could also see more than £40,000 spent on funding for extra school places in the area as part of a Section 106 agreement.
Maynewater Developments Ltd made the application on December 12.
