This week’s photograph shows former landlords of The Nutshell pub in Bury St Edmunds.
James ‘Jimmy’ Tinley and his wife Valerie ran the pub from 1968-71.
Their son James ‘Jimmy Junior’ Tinley brought the picture in to honour his late mother, who would have celebrated her birthday yesterday, and to put a smile on his father’s face as he has been unwell.
Jimmy Junior, 47, from Bury, also brought in a picture of Sidney Frisby, who used to play guitar at the pub and became landlord himself for a couple of years from around 1975. Jimmy is the boy pictured standing on the bar.
Jimmy would also like to appeal to anyone with their own photographs from the pub during his parent’s tenancy to get in touch.
If you have any that could be of interest, or any other old pictures, you can email them to reporter Laura Smith at email@example.com or bring them into our reception in King’s Road.
