Firefighters rescued a person from a blaze in a bungalow in Risby yesterday afternoon.

Two fire engines from Bury St Edmunds and one from Newmarket attended the incident in South Street at about 2.38pm.

Using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel, the fire was extinguished by 3.44pm.

One casualty was rescued and placed into the care of paramedics.
