Pedestrian is hit by object from passing car in Thetford

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian’s head was struck by an object from a passing car in Thetford.

It happened in Charlock Road at around 10.20pm on Friday.

The victim, a 21-year-old man, was walking along the road towards Rosecroft Way when a car approached him from behind.

He felt a sharp pain as an unknown object hit him in the back of the head and the side of the face.

The vehicle then drove off in the direction of Rosecroft Way.

It is described as a blue Fiat Punto and the first part of the registration number is thought to be ‘AP04’.

Police would like to speak to the car’s occupants.
