Chartered accountants Jacobs Allen in Bury St Edmunds has launched a new app featuring the latest tax rates and a payslip calculator.
The firm, which also has an office in Haverhill, says the app will help people work out things such as the benefit in kind on company cars, or the amount of inheritance tax payable, without having to seek advice.
Paul Donno, director at Jacobs Allen, said: “The App has been carefully crafted to reflect the growing demands of a mobile oriented society.
“Jacobs Allen are glad to be able to offer such a useful tool, free of charge to both clients and non-clients alike, that allows everyone to stay up to date on the go.”
He said the app will continue to be developed with new tools and features and will soon include the Jacobs Allen Blog, allowing users to stayinformed of the latest trends and discussions in the business world, both locally and nationally.
Director Keith Senior said: “We are proactive and progressive; refreshingly different to other accountants’ approach to clients’ business and taxation affairs.
“At Jacobs Allen we strive to be at the pinnacle of technology so as to empower our clients with the very best service and advice, the introduction of this App is doing exactly that.”
The app is available through the App or Playstore.
The firm has also switched to online document management software, which allows it to securely share documents with clients to sign.
“Our clients love this; long gone are the hassle, cost and time delays of traditional post.” said client manager Michael Ford.
