EX-STUDENTS of College Heath Middle School were invited back into the classroom on Saturday to reminisce about the school’s history.

The middle school, which opened in 1977, is set to close in September when the district moves to a two-tier school system.

Current students at the school have been working on compiling photographs and stories from the school’s past ahead of the closure.

Their work was displayed in the corridors along with registers from past years.

Melanie Rust, who attended the school between 1995 and 1998 said: “It’s sad that it’s closing – it was where I made some of my really good friends, it was the best school I have ever been to and I’ve got some really good memories.”
