RARE wall paintings and interesting graffiti drew crowds of visitors to a small church in Troston at the weekend.
The Church of St Mary opened its doors for three days as part of the Heritage Open Day scheme.
The church, celebrated for its rare medieval wall paintings and stone inscription graffiti, welcomed many visitors from September 9 to 11.
Sue Sollohub, secretary of Troston Heritage Appeal Group, said: “People came from all over the county to see the church.
“We are very satisfied because we feel people should come and see it, so the open days were a good opportunity.”
