A SCHOOL reunion that has been held annually for 32 years will have its last gathering next month.

The Convent of St Louis, in St Andrew’s Street South, Bury St Edmunds, closed in 1971 and became St Louis Middle School.

The reunion, which provides former students with an opportunity to renew old friendships and hear news of absent friends, will be held in the St Andrew’s Castle from 2.30pm on October 1.

Cynthia Smith, whose two sisters also went to the convent, is excited to see who will make it to the final reunion, with an ex-nun from Australia among possible attendees.

To make the occasion more memorable, an additional celebration will take place at the Regency Hotel, in Looms Lane, Bury, where a pre-booked dinner will be served from 7.30pm.
