A NUMBER of charities have put cash in the coffers after a table top sale went down a treat.

A variety of stall holders congregated at Freckenham Village Hall for the sale on Saturday, with charities also benefiting from the busy event.

Jane Leitch, from the Freckenham Village Hall trustees, said the hall was ‘heaving’.

“It was very popular.

“There were a vast assortment of things on sale and I think all the charities were very happy with how much was raised.”

St Nicholas Hospice Care, Brook Animal Hospital, Cataholics and St Andrew’s Church were all beneficiaries of the bumper crowds.

The next table top sale is scheduled for April 2. Tables are £5 to rent.
