No presents for charitable pair

Two six year-olds asked guests to their birthday party not to give them presents ,but to donate money to a school in Kenya.

Joshua Cobbold and Luke Newell, of Stowmarket, asked guests to their Star Wars-themed sixth birthday party to donate money to the First Hope Montessori School in Kenya.

Luke said: “It will go to the children who are not as lucky as us.”

The boys were taught about the school which helps children affected by Aids by Mary Ann Vagg, owner of Foxglove Montessori School, in Stowmarket. She said: “I think this is absolutely fantastic they are only six and have agreed to give up the highlight of their year, I’m really touched.”
