PLANS for a new vehicle repair centre at the former BP service station at Haughley have been approved subject to several conditions.
Planning Committee members approved the proposals at a meeting on February 2 as long as the applicant, Ravens Business Parks Ltd, addresses the concerns of the Environment Agency.
This section of the A14 was bypassed as part of the Haughley New Street improvements.
Plans include removing the existing canopy and erecting a building for repairing and servicing commercial vehicles. The existing shop and payment kiosk will be used as ancillary offices.
The Travelodge and Little Chef businesses will continue to operate separately.
