A VILLAGE’S first ever history weekend was a huge success, according to its organiser.
Ann Howarth, who organised the first Northwold Village History Weekend, said there had been a ‘really good turn out’ and a ‘brilliant atmosphere’.
She said: “There was a huge contribution by everyone in the village. We have had some very kind comments back about the weekend which have been passed on to everybody who contributed.”
Visitors were able to inspect village artefacts, view war memorials and watch cinefilms of village life during the two day event.
The church tower was also opened specially for the weekend, giving visitors a new perspective on the village.
