The East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) has announced Major General Sir William Cubitt as its new chairman.
Former chairman, Andrew Egerton-Smith, stepped down in December 2015 after serving for fifteen years.
Sir William, who lives near North Walsham in Norfolk, served in the army between 1977 and 2011 and is now retired. He will divide his time between his new role as chairman of EAAA and his role as President of the Norfolk Royal British Legion.
Sir William said: “I consider it a great privilege to be appointed chairman of the East Anglian Air Ambulance. It is a charity that could be needed by anyone at any time and therefore generates much support from the people of East Anglia.”
