A company which specialises in natural holistic health and beauty products and therapies has set up shop in Bury St Edmunds town centre.

Neal’s Yard Remedies opened a shop and holistic centre, in Abbeygate Street, yesterday, catering for the mind, body and soul.

Franchisee Joanne Dennis, who is a hypnotherapist having previously worked as a fashion buyer, said: “I love retail but I love it to be ethical - we should source things properly and sell them ethically.”

On the shop floor, they specialise in skin care, creams, lotions, herbs and gifts.

Meanwhile, the holistic centre includes a herbalist, homeopath, aromatherpaist, massage therapist, crystal healer, yoga and hot stone treatment.

Mrs Dennis, of Colchester, who will provide hypnotherapy, said they chose Bury as they felt ‘a natural synergy’ with Neal’s Yard’s ethos.

She said: “The shopping centre has a real community feel. It isn’t just about shopping - it’s a living, breathing town.”
