SUFFOLK Owl Santuary is holding a competition to name its two new meerkats.
The cute newcomers, one male and one female, arrived at the sanctuary in Stonham Aspal on April 4 and have been settling into their new home – and have even mated.
Now the sanctuary is offering the public the chance to get to name them.
Animal handler Liz Hagger said: “We did have some a long time ago and have always wanted to have meerkats again. They are one of the most popular animals now and it seemed to be the right time to get some. We hope over the next few years it will grow into a colony of 25.”
Guests can hand in their name suggestions to the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary main reception.
