Pakenham Fun day returns this year with a host of entertainment taking place on the village playing field.

Entry to the event is free and it will run from 2pm until late next Saturday (July 19).

There will be music from Spring, The Curves and The Sea Creatures as well as a beer tent, ferret racing and lots of different children’s activities throughout the day.

The fun day, which saw hundreds of people attend last year, will raise money for Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Pakenham social committee member, Richard Mayhew, said: “We chose to support SARS and the East Anglian Air Ambulance this year because both these charities have helped a lot of people around our area over the years.

They both rely on voluntary donations to fund their life-saving activity so we hope that people will turn out in force to support the fun day and help us raise as much as we can for two excellent local charities.”
