HUNDREDS of folk fans descended on the Museum of East Anglian Life on Saturday for the 11th annual Traditional Music Day.

A variety of traditional music, dance and storytelling was on offer – including the biggest annual gathering of stepdancers, an informal version of tap dancing.

The event, organised by the East Anglian Traditional Music Trust (EATMT) and the Museum of East Anglian Life, welcomed acts such as Reg Hall, Andrew and Margaret Watchorn and Pat Pickles, who entertained crowds with her antique jig dolls.

Katie Howson, co-director of EATMT, said: “It was a wonderful day.

“It was great seeing so many people participating, taking part in things they had never done before.

“And the guests we had were just fantastic.
