MUSEUM staff were stunned last week to find a number of items had been stolen.
Last Tuesday, between 1pm and 5pm, a display case was broken into in the Lavenham Guildhall museum, in Market Place.
Two silver antique fob watches, a silver watch chain and a miniature box with a portrait of a woman were stolen.
Jane Gosling, Guildhall manager, said: “It’s just such a shame, you don’t think these sorts of things are going to happen, especially in broad daylight when we’re open to the public.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
