A MOTHER has sent a grateful message to the anonymous helper who returned her little boy to the recent family fun event staged in the Abbey Gardens after he wandered away and ended up in Ram Meadow car park.
Henry Pickering, from Stowmarket, was enjoying the children’s play area when he managed to wander off, leave the gardens and cross a busy main road to the car park.
Mum Tracey lost sight of her son in the crowds. The wristband he was wearing was missing the last digit of Tracey’s phone number so she could not be contacted.
Thankfully someone returned Henry to the gardens and he was reunited with his family.
Tracey said:”That was the longest half hour of my life and I would like to thank whoever it was.” If you were the good Samaritan contact us on 01284 757857 and we will put you in touch.
