A DISABILITY resource centre has held a cake bake to raise funds to support people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).
Earlier this month, staff and visitors at Papworth Trust’s West Suffolk Disability Resource Centre, based on Moreton Hall, enjoyed a day of baking, selling and eating a variety of cakes and held a competition.
Anna West, centre and facilities coordinator, said the £113 it raised would pay for specialist training for two MS Society helpdesk volunteers.
“The motto of the day was a pound to forsake for a coffee and a cake - our staff and lovely visitors had a fantastic day trying the cakes and having a chat over a cup of coffee,” she said.
The WSDRC provides essential services and care for disabled people, families and carers.
