A motorcyclist is in hospital with ‘life-changing’ injuries after a collision in Wretham this morning (Wednesday).

Police were called just before 6.20am to reports of a collision on the A1075 between a van and a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, suffered ‘life-changing’ spinal injuries. Dr Andy Mason from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) attended the accident with local ambulance and fire crews and treated the man at the scene. The man was then taken to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

It is not believed the driver of the van sustained any injuries.

The road was blocked while police carried out their investigations and emergency services carried out their work.

The road was reopened at about 9.40am this morning.
