A MOTORCYCLIST suffered serious injuries when he was thrown from his bike in an accident on Monday evening.
The biker was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge after his bike was in collision with a grey Renault Scenic in Westley Lane, Bury St Edmunds, at around 4.30pm.
The cyclist was thrown from his bike in the accident and firecrews and paramedics had to extricate the man from a hedgerow. He was treated at the scene and given anaesthetic and ventilation.
An air ambulance from Essex and Hertfordshire was scrambled to the scene although the injured man was taken to hospital in a land ambulance.
His condition was said to be remain critical on Tuesday.
The driver of the car was also taken to West Suffolk Hospital with lesser injuries.
