More than 400 cannabis plants have been seized by police following a drugs raid in Lakenheath.

More than 400 cannabis plants were seized by police in a West Suffolk drugs raid.

Police executed a warrant at a house on Barr Drive, Lakenheath, on Wednesday July 17 to find a sophisticated cannabis factory.

Along with the plants, £200 in cash and equipment used to grow cannabis was seized.

A police spokesman said: “This was a warrant executed on July 17 around lunch time.

“We forced entry to the property and found a cannabis factory inside.”

He said police seized hydroponic growing equipment, lights fans, bulbs and transformers.

A 56-year-old man was Lakenheath was arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis.

He has been released on bail and is due to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on September 10.
