No amount of rehearsal can fully prepare the youngsters of Kimberley Ann’s Theatre School for their walk on stage tomorrow.
For 50 young dancers, who normally meet in The Bunbury Rooms in Mildenhall, will be walking out into the Royal Albert Hall’s awe inspiring, multi-tiered auditorium.
KATS founder Kim Bullock said: “I can’t wait to see their faces when they walk in there. I don’t think any of them realise how big it is.”
They are taking part in an event organised by a company called Mardi Gras, who give young aspiring dancers the chance to perform at major venues.
As well as the stage, the area people stand in for the Last Night at the Proms will be cleared, so KATS has been rehearsing in larger venues.
Kim said: “It’s why we went for a circus theme, so we can have different things going on at the same time to fill the space.”
The KATS dancers have also learned two songs to be performed together by all 20 schools taking part.
