A Mildenhall care home has successfully appealed against a closure decision made by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The CQC has been monitoring standards at Mabbs Hall Care Home since October last year, when it found that improvements were required.
Gillian Robinson Operations Director for MNS Care PLC who own Mabbs Hall welcomed the success of the appeal.
She said: “The management team at Mabbs Hall nursing home are delighted that the First-Tier Tribunal has allowed its appeal against CQC’s decision to close the home.
“At the same time that the appeal was allowed the condition on the home’s registration restricting admissions to the home without CQC’s prior written agreement was lifted.
“We look forward to continuing to provide a valuable service to the local community of Mildenhall and beyond.”
The CQC continue to monitor standards at the home.
