Lloyd’s Bank in Mildenhall joined forces with some of the town’s businesses for a charity prize draw on October 21, raising more than £300 for its chosen charity of 2014, the Alzheimer’s Society.

Donated prizes included afternoon tea for two at the Riverside Hotel, a £20 voucher for Barbers Inc Parlour, a haircut at Daisy Hair and Beauty, and a pottery painting experience at DKW Ceramics Studio.

Fund-raising from the prize draw brought the branch’s total for the year to around £500.

Sam Hanslip, of Lloyd’s, said: “We’re organising a tea and cake event soon for people to come and share their experiences about Alzheimer’s. It is really good to get everyone involved, and give people the chance to get things off their chest.”
