SUFFOLK Owl Sanctuary celebrated Father’s Day over the weekend by hosting a medieval extravaganza.
More than 1,000 people turned up to explore a medieval village set up in the sanctuary’s grounds at Stonham Barns.
Visitors experienced traditional songs and dances, learnt medieval cookery and witnessed knights in shining armour do battle.
On the Friday, the sanctuary welcomed local school children who learned about what it was like to live in medieval times.
Manager Andy Humle said: “People could learn about everyone from the lowest ranked foot soldier to the knights in full armour.
“It was a great way to celebrate Father’s Day – if the kids are happy, the fathers are happy too.”
