West Suffolk MP Matt Hancock vowed last week to do all he could to save the threatened Brandon Day Care Centre after meeting those who use it.
The centre has been given until December 31 to find new funding. People from as far as Mildenhall and Lakenheath use it.
It was built after Brandon people raised £250,000 and is run by Orbit Housing, who own neighbouring sheltered housing. They originally said it would close in September, because it was not financially viable but gave it three more months.
Mr Hancock said: “Brandon Day Care plays a massive part in supporting people who without it would have nowhere else to turn. The Day Centre brings people together by supporting some very vulnerable people and gives much needed respite to many who spend their lives caring for loved ones.
“I will do everything in my power to save Brandon Day Centre and I would urge the whole community to get behind our much loved Centre.”
