Friends of murder victim Mary Griffiths plan a group photograph to show her daughters they miss her.
Karen Bergdahl said: “We will be meeting at Nowton Park, by the football pitches, to have a group photo taken which we will then give one copy to each of the girls to show them we all still think of their mum and all love Mary and miss her so much still.”
Mary’s parents, Kitty and Joe, will be flying from Ireland for the photo on Sunday July 14 at 11am. It is open to all who knew Mary or know daughters Jess, Hannah and Sophie.
It will be taken by Allison Johnson Pictures who will sell prints for a donation to the Friends of Mary Fund. That stands at £13,000, after paying for the girls to visit Ireland.
Mary was murdered in front of the girls in 2009 by John McFarlane, using a slaughterhouse bolt gun, days after a mental health team assessed him as of no significant risk to others.
