Margery Oxborrow enjoyed a celebration on Sunday as she achieved her centenary.

Margery has lived at Oxlip House on Moreton Hall since December 2010 and still lives an independent life, enjoying dominoes and friendly banter with other residents. She was born on April 14 1913 at Roydon, near Diss and went into service before working on a farm. She and her late husband, Maurice, had four children and she has six grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

Her eldest son Roger died from Motor Neurone Disease when he was 50.Here she is pictured with her children Cherry, Sandra and Ralph who visit her regularly.

She worked as a carer until well into her 70s and has never been afraid of hard work.
