A man, in his forties, was taken to hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest at a cinema in Bury St Edmunds on Friday night.

Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service and a volunteer critical care team from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) responded to the incident at Cineworld in Parkway.

The man was defibrillated at the scene before being accompanied by the SARS team in an ambulance to Papworth Hospital, where he arrived in a serious but stable condition.
