A man has died after being struck by a train near Two Mile Bottom.
Emergency services were called to the scene early this afternoon. The Cambridgeshire Air Ambulance, a rapid response team and an ambulance were all dispatched by the East of England Ambulance Service, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) said: “We were called to the line close to Two Mile Bottom in Thetford at 12.38pm following reports of a person being struck by a train.
“The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious, and officers are now working to identify him and inform his family.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The incident has led to delays on the Greater Anglia service between Brandon and Thetford.
