A MAN threatened to bite off a police officer’s nose and kill a pub landlord in the same night, a court has heard.
Matthew Stanley, 33, of North Road, Lakenheath, made the threats on November 26 after being asked to leave the Maid’s Head, in Mildenhall.
On Tuesday, Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court heard how Stanley had told James Watt, landlord, that he would kill him ‘or his family’ after being ejected.
When officers arrived to arrest him, Stanley said he would ‘bite off your nose’, according to prosecutor, Rosalind Cappleman.
Stanley pleaded guilty to two charges of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with intent.
He was given a one year community order and ordered to pay £30 costs.
