Man cut free from town centre crash

FIRE crews had to cut a man free from his car after a three-vehicle collision in Bury St Edmunds last night (Saturday).

The incident took place in Whiting Street just before midnight, with crews from Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket called to the scene.

It took them an hour to cut a male casualty free, removing the roof of a car with cutting equipment.

The man was put into the care of paramedics once released.
