A MAN who tumbled down a complete flight of concrete steps found himself at the centre of a two hour rescue operation on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services were forced to cut away a piece of partition wall at a house inear Lloyds TSB n Mill Street, Mildenhall, after the 51-year-old man fell into a basement.
Ambulance crews were called at around 4pm to the property, only to find that they were unable to remove the man.
Fire crews were called half an hour later, and they began cutting a piece of wall in order to extricate the casualty.
An hour and a half later, the man was removed by the fire crew and taken to West Suffolk Hospital.
The man was conscious and breathing when crews arrived, but had suffered back injuries in the fall.
