Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in his own garden in Great Saxham.

A man in his early fifties reported that another man climbed over the wall into his garden between 8.40am and 8.50am yesterday (Thursday) and assaulted him with a knife and a blunt wooden object.

The victim received a small cut to his eyebrow, with further cuts and bruising.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his thirties, ABOUT 5ft 10in tall, of stocky build, with medium length brown hair. He was wearing a donkey-style jacket and black leather motorcycle gloves.
