Man airlifted to hospital after car hits tree in Wattisfield

A man was flown to hospital after he suffered a broken leg when the car he was travelling in collided with a tree this morning.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance attended the scene on the A143, Diss Road near Wattisfield along with a rapid responder and land ambulance. The casualty was flown to Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.

An ambulance service spokesperson said: “All emergency services worked well together ensuring the man was treated and stabilised as quickly as possible - his condition is serious but not life threatening.

“During the adverse weather conditions drivers need to allow more time for their journey and take extra care with their speed.”
