Taking advantage of a craft stall on Bury St Edmunds market, creative youngsters made gift bags for Mother’s Day presents bought from about a dozen stalls.

Stallholders selling flowers, jewellery, cards, plants and other items gave children a token to take to the craft stall where they could also decorate card envelopes.

Sharon Fairweather, market development officer, said the stall was a new idea ‘to promote the wide range of gift ideas on the market and a chance for children to personalise their presents’.
