Children stole the show at Bury St Edmunds’ popular Fashion Fusion fund-raiser on Friday.
The event, now in its fourth year, saw retailers from the town showcase their ‘young’ and ‘exclusive’ fashion.
Students from West Suffolk College created exciting hair and beauty styles for the night’s models while lively music and live video footage assisted with this year’s theme.
Julie Warren, marketing manager at The Apex, said: “We were delighted to host the event once more. It was a great opportunity to showcase the brilliant retail on offer in Bury while also highlighting the flexible facilities at The Apex.
“This year we looked to do a London Fashion Week theme so we had video screening a live feed of the models as they walked down the cat walk.”
Highlights included the night’s youngest models, East’s Bollywood dancers and the college’s exclusive alternative wedding dress show.
All proceeds, expected to total more than £5,000, will go to St Nicholas Hospice Care.
Lizzie Cross, corporate fund-raiser for the hospice, said: “Once again, Fashion Fusion was a wonderful evening which combined glamour and community support.
“It was tremendous to see fashions from our hospice shops on the catwalk for the first time this year, modelled by our staff and volunteers, along with all the other trends from Bury’s retailers.”
