Temporary traffic lights are being installed at the Elveden Crossroads today as work starts on reconfiguring the junction.
The Highways Agency said: “There will be temporary traffic signals installed to replace the existing signal configuration on Tuesday 22nd July. The temporary traffic signals will be required full time during the works.”
The crossroads are the junction of the old A11 London Road and the B1106 Brandon to Bury St Edmunds road. Through traffic on the A11 is now using the new bypass around Elveden, created as part of the Barton Mills to Thetford dualling.
Up to date information on the dualling and its journey impact can be found on www.highways.gov.uk where you can also set up email alerts for changes to the scheme, which is due to be finished by December.
