Thousands of people are expected to descend on Bury St Edmunds to watch the close of the Friends Life Women’s Tour on Sunday.
The first riders are expected to cross the finish line on Angel Hill at about 12.50pm and presentations to the winners will be made at about 1.20pm.
Spectators are urged to get an early place along the stretch from Southgate Green to the Athenaeum.
The Women on Wheels ladies charity cycle ride sets off at 8am and 8.30am on Sunday from Charter Square ending in the Abbey Gardens. Meanwhile, the Bury Rugby Club Memorial Cycle ride returns from France at 3.30-4pm.
There will be road closures on Angel Hill from 10pm on Saturday to 7pm on Sunday. The road will be closed from the junction with Mustow Street /Northgate Street to the junction with Churchgate Street. Road closures on Sunday begin at 11.30am to 1.30pm. Southgate Street and all the roads leading on to it will be closed from the junction at Southgate Green roundabout as well as Westgate Street and all the roads leading on to it.
