Joyce Swallow received a bottle of wine when she went to see Rush at Stanton Village Cinema on Friday.
It marked her buying the 1000th ticket sold since the village hall cinema opened in 2012.
Chairman, Peter Hallinan, said “I think we have been successful because we have dedicated volunteers who pride themselves on making our film evenings a real community night out.
We also take care in choosing our films. All are recent, often shown before their release to the public on DVD.”
Shows take place on the third Friday of the month at 7.30pm in Stanton Village Hall. The next is Philomena on March 14.
Details can be found on the cinema website at www.stantonvillagecinema.co.uk and are advertised in Bury Free Press Listings.
