Talented choirs from seven Bury St Edmunds schools have joined forces for a mass concert celebrating the joy of singing.
More than 300 students from two upper and five middle schools will perform at The Apex on Thursday (Mar 13) at 7pm for the Bury Schools’ Choral Concert.
Each choir sings its own programme before they join together for the finale.
The concert is now in its fourth year.
Schools taking part are County Upper and King Edward VI as well as Hardwick, St James, Westley, St Louis Catholic and Horringer Court Middles.
Asked whether the concert will continue following the move to two-tier education in Bury St Edmunds, Rebekah Green, director of music at County Upper School, said: “I’m sure all the music teachers are very keen for it to continue. The heads of all the schools have been very supportive. Hopefully that will continue regardless of what happens in the town. Maybe it’s the only opportunity all the schools get to get together.”
Tickets are available from The Apex.
