People in West Row were this morning hit by the second powercut in three days.
Householders experienced intermittent power before the cut and UK Power Networks says the incident was ‘raised’ at about 8am affecting 154 premises in the Hurdle Drove area. It says 149 were reconnected by 9.33am.
A UKPN spokesman said this afternoon: “It’s confirmed by the engineers on site that a pole was damaged. This has meant continuing extensive work on the network, making sure the overhead lines are safe and working as normal. This is why the five properties are still without power.”
The remaining properties were reconnected at 2.15pm.
On Tuesday about 150 premises were without power in the same area from 12.35pm to about 3pm.
