Police investigating an alleged rape are asking for customers in a Lakenheath restaurant on Sunday night to come forward.
The incident occurred between 1am and 1.30am Sunday in the car park of the Wok and Rock restaurant on Mill Road.
A 21-year-old man from Lakenheath was arrested on Monday on suspicion of rape following an incident in Lakenheath and has been released on police bail until October 1 pending further enquiries.
Detective Inspector Andy Footer appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
He said: “We would like to hear from all persons who were at the Wok and Rock restaurant between 11pm on Saturday 2 August through to 2am on Sunday 3 August, as they may have information that will help with our enquiries.
“I would like to thank those witnesses who have already come forward for their assistance in this investigation and also the staff at the restaurant who have been very cooperative.”
