Power supply has been restored to level crossings in Suffolk and Norfolk which were forced to close this morning.
Network Rail reported problems on its line between Norwich and Ely, which caused barriers to come down at all level crossings along the way.
A spokeswoman said power supply problems had activated the fail-safe systems of the barriers.
The crossings were closed for around one and a half hours, including those at Brandon, Lakenheath, Santon Downham and Shippea Hill.
Diversions were put in place, where necessary, until the power was restored.
