Union boss speaks to students at Bury St Edmunds school

The National Association of Schoolteachers/Union of Women Teachers President Mick Lyons addressed a group of St Benedicts Sixth Form history, sociology and politics students on the role of trade unions in modern Britain.

The National Association of Schoolteachers/Union of Women Teachers President Mick Lyons addressed a group of St Benedicts Sixth Form history, sociology and politics students on the role of trade unions in modern Britain.

Students at St Benedict’s Catholic School, in Bury, learnt about the history of trade unions during a talk from Mick Lyons, president of the National Association of Schoolteachers/Union of Women Teachers.

Following his talk, which also focused on the current status of the unions, he met and spoke with sixth formers and met members of the NASUWT.
