Two houses have been burgled in Barton Mills.

Two houses have been burgled in Barton Mills, with gold jewellery taken from one of the properties.

Police are appealing for information following the two burglaries last week.

Between 5.30pm on January 22 and 1pm on January 25 items of gold jewellery were taken from an address in The Street.

Entry was gained through an insecure window.

On January 24, between 7.30pm and 9.20pm french doors were forced at a property in Bell Lane.

It is believed the offender was disturbed by the victim retuning home. No items were stolen and it appears the suspect escaped over a fence into the neighbouring garden.

Anyone with information about either of these burglaries is asked to contact the Bury St Edmunds Priority Crime Team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
