Police in Bury St Edmunds have arrested two men following a burglary at the weekend.

Yesterday, detectives received a report of a burglary that had taken place between 6.40pm and 7pm on Sunday July 27 at an address in Ipswich Court, Bury.

A rear window was forced open to gain entry to the property and £480 in cash was stolen from inside.

Officers subsequently arrested two men from the Bury St Edmunds area this morning in connection with the crime.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to burgle.

Both men have been taken to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where they are currently being questioned.
