A community herb garden has been created at The Centre in St John’s Street, Bury St Edmunds.
It has been established by a group of herb enthusiasts with help from the community group Sustainable Bury, Suffolk Organic Gardeners and Alexandra Peake, The Suffolk Herbalist.
The garden can be used by the local community for free access to herbs for culinary and health purposes, people can contribute to the ongoing maintenance and expansion of the garden.
Alexandra said: “The garden will provide a base for activities and education, where people can contribute or learn about gardening, wildlife, food and health.
“This will be done through regular volunteer days, herb walks and practical workshops.”
